Out with Hermes

If there is one nice thing about going out in Japan, it’s that I felt safe enough to carry my luxury bags around.

In my last visit to Kyoto, Japan, I had the pleasure of visiting BENOIT Kyoto (and even wrote a review about it), the French dining establishment at The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu.

The restaurant was super lovely, and I was fortunate to be seated by the glass walls and graced by a stunning view of the Hokan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda).

I think my followers who are bag lovers can understand this – sometimes, when we go to a beautiful place, we want to bring along a beautiful bag – it just makes the whole outing all the more special. Personally, I feel exactly that when I’m out with Hermes.

Advice from HappyHighLife: Life is short; visit pretty places / cafes / restaurants, and bring that pretty bag along.

At the time of visitation, the weather was still chilly. Winter in Japan was particularly cold earlier this year.

Winter Outfit of the Day

In winter, it feels like no matter what you wear inside, it will always be covered by a sweater / coat of some kind. As such, with the puffy down jacket and all, I’ve been asked if it feels different, going out with Hermes in cold weather vs in sunny Singapore, and really, there is none in terms of ease of carrying.

However there may be a difference in the bag’s contents – there is a tendency to carry scarves, mittens, and hand cream.

The Winter difference: scarves get stuffed in the Birkin. Does that count?
