Complimentary Birthday Cake
So, I got this in the mail today…
I always love getting mail from American Express – apart from getting usual updates about promotions, sometimes they’ll send thoughtful stuff such as ang pow for Chinese New Year or Christmas wrapping over the festive season.
It’s February right now, but my birthday is actually in March. So about a month and a half before my real birthday, American Express mailed me a promo code to redeem a free cake of my choice – not just a slice, but a WHOLE CAKE – from Cat and the Fiddle.
I joked with my husband that American Express remembers Birthdays better than most significant others, but that’s another story
Owners of the American Express Platinum Reserve card can look forward to this.
How to Redeem the Complimentary Birthday Cake
The process is pretty simple.
1) Head to https://amex.catandthefiddle.com/.
Note: this is NOT the usual Cat and the Fiddle website – See ‘amex’ as part of the URL? The usual https://www.catandthefiddle.com/ has no AMEX complimentary birthday cake redemptions
2) Select a whole cake of your choice.
3) Choose either a complimentary regular delivery (yes, free!) or self-collection option.
4) Enter the promo code at checkout.
5) Do it before the expiry date indicated in the mail. In my case, as my birthday’s in March, the date given to me is 31st March 2021.

Through this offer, I’ve redeemed a Birthday Cake from Cat and the Fiddle before, to share with my daughter (yes, we have the same birthday month!) – one year ago to be exact. My family chose the King Cat of the Mountain Durian cheesecake (or, Mao Shan Wang Cheesecake), and there were absolutely no regrets 🙂

A Note on American Express Credit Cards
The American Express Platinum Reserve Card has an annual fee of $535 SGD, but as a holder of the Amex Platinum Charge Card, I can keep the Platinum Reserve Card free of charge.
I love this card as the lifestyle and dining benefits offered are practically unrivalled, and being able to additionally enjoy the perks of the Platinum Reserve Card as well – that is just the icing on the cake (no pun intended).
Previously, this space was dedicated to referral links for American Express credit cards. As mentioned in my blog update, I will no longer be providing referral links going forward.
