Love Dining News

The latest updates to Love Dining are unfortunately not the most favourable.

Conrad Centennial Singapore

  • Oscar’s at Conrad Centennial will no longer be part of Love Dining.
  • This change has already taken effect as of 1st December 2021
  • However, Golden Peony and Lobby Lounge at Conrad Centennial Singapore will continue to offer Love Dining benefits.

I’m actually super bummed about this one. My family and I have tried the International Buffet at Oscar’s, and it was a really good experience.

Having said that, Conrad Centennial had a history of going in and out of Love Dining – so hopefully they would bring Oscar’s back again in the future.

Fullerton Hotel Singapore and Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

  • All dining establishments at Fullerton Hotel Singapore and Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore will no longer offer love dining benefits.
  • This change has already taken effect as of 2nd January 2022.

A year ago, in January 2021, both Fullerton and Fullerton Bay hotels made their way to the Love Dining programme. Sadly, they are not contining for 2022.

The irony is that I have literally JUST blogged about La Brasserie at Fullerton Bay Singapore.

La Brasserie review: French Restaurant at Fullerton Bay hotel

Definitely sad that this restaurant will no longer offer Love Dining benefits. Alas, it was good while it lasted.

Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

  • Crossroads cafe and Lobby Lounge will be temporarily closed between 1st March 2022 to 30th June 2022.
  • Wan Hao Chinese restaurant will continue to offer Love Dining benefits.

Rumour has it that the hotel might be undergoing renovation. I’ve dined in at both Lobby Lounge (High Tea, under Entertainer App benefits) and Crossroads Cafe – and both places were quite decent.

If you love these places, go eat there while they remain open until end of February 2022.

Love Dining by American Express

While slightly bummed by the unfavourable Love Dining news announcing the exit of these hotels, historically, it is very common for places to come and go.

Contrary, I do look forward to new places joining Love Dining. It’s happened so many times in the past (e.g. such as when Basilico at Regent Singapore joined!) that I’m not worried about a lack of dining establishments in Love Dining.

My readers would know that I’m a huge fan of the American Express Platinum Charge Card and the Love Dining programme.

Platinum Charge Card by American Express: summary of Amex benefits as of late 2021

I highly recommend getting the American Express Platinum Charge card as its benefits are some of the best I’ve seen in a credit card. In terms of dining perks alone, the Love Dining benefits have allowed my husband and I to dine at reputable hotels and high-end restaurants for up to 50% off, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

I’ve written the Love Dining Hotel Dining Guide and the Restaurant Dining Guide as well – so do check that out for more information.
