Pink Luxury Bags collection

Pink is the sweetest colour in the world. It is one of my favourite colours, and over the  years, having a worthy pink bag collection became somewhat of a personal criteria.

The following pink luxury bags bags are featured in this blogpost:

I’ve had several requests to rank my bags from the most to least favourite, but I’ve found that woefully difficult – I love (almost) all of my bags to death.

Instead, I’m going to share my thoughts for each bag’s place and purpose, and how a bag is most suited for a type of function.

Bags are shown in no particular order.

(Disclaimer: Yes, in principle, I know we can use ANY bag for ANY occasion, I’m just going for what’s most suitable in my humble opinion. Feel free to disagree – this is just to explain how I use the pink luxury bags in my personal collection).

Cute, Mini, and Casual: Hermes Constance 18

As far as the pink bags in my collection can attest to, among them all, the Hermes Constance 18 in Rose Confetti is the most easily grab-and-go bag.

This is one helluva super cute crossbody, and I use it mainly for casual events.

Me Time

It fits the basic neccesities (most of the bags here do anyhow), but as I personally lean towards bring minimalist / carrying less items, I don’t usually stuff the bag to the brim.

The pink is actually kind of bright – not like a hot pink, but somewhat of a light barbie pink. And for that, compared to my other pink bags, this one carries the most amount of Fun Vibes. Naturally, its been used mostly when I require a cute, fun, little casual bag.

Cute, Mini, and Formal: Lady Dior Mini

In terms of pure visual aesthetics alone, the Lady Dior Mini is the most beautiful and elegant one from the pink luxury bags collection.

Add on a twilly / Dior Mitzah scarf / alternative ribbon, and the beauty is multiplied tenfold.

Fit for a Princess

Everything about it – from the typical Dior Cannage print to the handles and DIOR charms – points to the Lady Dior bag as the epitome of sophistication and elegance.

(Not that we’re surprised; bag lovers know that the Lady Dior is associated with Princess Diana).

I tend to use this as a special occasion bag. The Lady Dior is like the best friend that never lets you down; she elevates a dress for a lovely night out and adds star quality to that formal evening event.

Super Minimalist: Chanel WOC

What do you do when you’re shopping all day and your hands are busy exploring the merchandise of a thousand stores? Or when you’re dragging your two small children out and you just have to sling your basic belongings around yourself?

You carry a hands-free Chanel Wallet on Chain (WOC).

A wallet on chain is a must have for every minimalist girl. Bigger than a wallet and tinier than most bags, it fits the sweet spot of a wallet and mini bag both rolled into one.

In this cashless world, people are increasingly less likely to carry cold hard cash, and more likely to rely on cards or phone payment methods. Here’s what I normally carry in my WOC: x1 eyeshadow compact, x1 key holder, x1 card holder, and x7 additional cards.

This is awesome for the days that I simply need to (i) Run a ton of errands, or the days that I am (ii) Hanging out with the kids, and will carry a separate bigger tote bag anyway need to be hands free.

Day to Night: Chanel Classic Flap

A Day-To-Night bag has to carry one from the Boardroom to Dinner Dates. Idiot-proof flexibility is a must.

Even better if the bag is a classic, and there’s nothing more classic than the Chanel Classic Flap.

Formal enough for the office and fun enough for the nights, the Chanel classic flap is one of the most versatile bags in my collection.

It doesn’t look out place no matter what one is wearing – even with jeans and random fun top.

Casual Mode

This is the bag to carry when one has to be out all day, for all kinds of events, and you need a multipurpose (but don’t require a giant tote).

And if we’re having one of those days when you absolutely don’t know what to wear / what bag to take, I can confidently default to the Chanel Classic Flap – and it will NOT be a bad choice.

(The only other bag that can rival this is the Hermes Kelly in gold).

The classic flap is also really durable – I’ve had this one since early 2017 and it’s held up super well. And I’ve only grown to love it more with extensive usage.

Medium-sized Luxury: Hermes Birkin 30

Imagine that you’re going out to meet your girlfriends to celebrate one of their birthdays, and really want to bring your luxury bag along. You’ve been given the responsibility of bringing the gift – a pair of Swarovski earrings – for the birthday girl… but you have to HIDE the gift until its time.

In moments like these, a medium-sized bag (that is not a tote) is most suited for the job.

Hermes Birkin

The Hermes Birkin 30 in Rose Extreme and palladium hardware is my first holy grail bag from Hermes.

The colour, while arguably red, in real life it is in between a pink and red, so i’ve mentally labelled it under the Pink Luxury Bags category.

Obvious pink undertones

The logical side of me wants to declare that I typically use this bag when I have to carry a bit more items than usual. And to some extent, this is true – for example, i actually bring this bag out to see my insurance agent / financial planner because I carry lots of papers for these meetings.

But let’s be honest – I mostly use this bag… when i FEEL LIKE IT.

The Hermes Birkin has always felt special to me; I acquired it as a push gift while pregnant with Kid #2, and from time to time, I’ll just FEEL like using the bag simply because it makes me happy. As such, the decision to use this bag in particular, tends to be a more emotional rather than a logical one.

Where do I place this: Dior Lady D’lite

And then, there is this bag that absolutely lacks a category.

Hermes Birkin

I’ll state upfront here – the reason why I’ve had difficulty giving this bag a category is because I’ve not been using it as much as I’ve wished.

Initially, I bought this one because I loved the Lady Dior Mini and had always wanted another larger-sized Lady Dior, and the fabric version was just so mugh lighter in weight compared to the leather versions.

Unfortunately, I slowly but surely fell out of love with the fabric bag.

*gasp*

After some reflection, I felt that ultimately, as far as my small and medium-sized bags go, I tend to gravitate towards leather. After some time, the fabric felt too fragile – like it was too easy to stain or come undone (none of that happened, but its strange how our brains keep track of potential hazards that can damage a bag).

Beautiful detail on the Dior Cannage embroidery

A slight pity, but the joy of using it was real in the initial stages. Ultimately, I’m not the type to baby my bags, and sadly this is a bag that is meant to be treated with great care.

I’ll trying to give this bag a few more months and attempt to use it more to see how it goes. Stay tuned.

Overall thoughts

Writing this was a reflection exercise on its own. It helped me to truly consider the circumstances in which I truly used my bags – I am a big believer that things are meant to be used (and not just sit on a shelf). Personally, listing out all these thoughts was helpful in evaluating the usage of bags in my collection. I would recommend for anyone with a medium-to-large bag collection to do this as well.

Thanks everyone for reading!
