To snag these American Express Shopping Promotions and Hotel Deals, card holders must
(i) Log into the AMEX app or online accounts to Save The Offer to the card.
(ii) Hit spending tier at participating online retailers or hotels. Do be careful especially a hotels – some may specify that the spend must be made ‘in person’ – so doing a fully paid online booking would disqualify you.
The will be credited to card holders in the form of a cashback.
Pro Tip: if you have more than one American Express credit card, you can save ALL of these to each card, subject to availability. For me, I have THREE cards – The Platinum Charge card, the Platinum Reserve Card, and the Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Ascend Card – and ALL three cards show that these hotel and shopping promotions are available).

NET-A-PORTER is one of the online leading e-retailers. It offers products from more than 800 of the world’s most coveted designer brands, including Gucci, Chloe, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant, Prada, and Stella McCartney, 200 specialist beauty brands, and more. NET-A-PORTER is hugely recommended by many who love luxury shopping, and I am no exception.
The discount is 15% but capped at $300. To enjoy the full discount of S$300, a cardholder will need to spend S$2000 to receive this cashback.
In this list, this is my favourite shopping promotion – if you’re eyeing something around the SGD2000 price range, say, a mini bag from YSL – this could be the perfect time to do so.

MR PORTER is like NET-A-PORTER’s male counterpart: think online luxury e-retailer for men. It carries over 500 of the world’s most sought after brands, and I highly recommend it for any fashion-conscious male out there.
Do note that – while the spend amount required is GBP300 (about SGD 500 at the time of writring), the cashback is in Singapore Dollars at SGD100. So overall, it is a 20% Discount.

Getting S$100 off the S$400 spending criteria is akin to a 25% discount – which is great, and comparable to all the other discounts listed here so far.

I can’t really say much about these hotels or their – I haven’t been to any of them myself. Nevertheless, getting SGD60 off an SGD300 spend is a 20% discount, which is pretty sweet in itself.

Shopping Promotions and Hotel Deals Commentary
This isn’t the first time that American Express has offered shopping promotions and especiallyhotel discounts. Periodically, such deals do appear – around the 3rd quarter of 2021, I’ve written a similar piece on a list of Hotel Discounts offered by Amex as well.
also seen equally attractive promotions for Waldorf Astoria and Conrad. Likewise, Hilton Hotels do repeatedly have similar offers. I love being surprised – opening the app to find good offers here and there absolutely makes my day – and it’s one of the reasons why I highly recommend American Express.
